A Special Quilt for a Special Friend

Camp Tecumseh Quilt Camp owns a special place in my heart.  So much creativity and community is fostered there.  So many friends...friends that are now family.  One of those friends has decided to retire and move on to live life after quilt camp.  His name is Neal.  Neal is one of those special people who just loves to love on people.  He will be terribly missed....but promised to visit when Covid-19 is under control and Quilt Camp can resume.

During this Quilt Camp void, my daughter Marcia and I thought maybe we could get a "few" ladies to make Ukulele quilt blocks in order to create a thank you quilt for Neal.  We hoped we could at least get a enough to make a small lap quilt.  😄

We created a Ukuleles for Neal Facebook page and invited any camp quilters that wanted to join us.  And join us they did!  We got 40 BLOCKS!

It turned out that FORTY blocks was exactly the right number of blocks that we needed for a KING SIZE quilt!

Yesterday was Presentation Day!  Thank you Neal for all you have done for us at camp.  This is not good-bye...just, til we meet again.  Love you!
